Officiating

The backbone and heart of motorsport are our officials
& the wheels of motorsport would stop turning without them

Getting started as a motorsport official can be a daunting task if you don’t know how to get started or what roles are available.

The team at Race Chix Motorsport have put together some information on how to get started as a motorsport official, covering all motorsport genres across Australia including bike racing, speedway, car racing, drag racing and karting.

Please don’t hesitate to join our Officials Mentoring Network if you would like some assistance in getting started.

As we know with all sporting events, they don’t happen without the hard work, dedication and passion of officials – especially at the grassroots level.

Officiating roles range from Race Secretary, Scrutineer, Timekeeper, Medical Officer, Flag Marshal, Grid Marshal, Race Director, Radio Communications, Clerk of Course, Steward and many more.

As part of Race Chix Motorsport we have an Officials Mentoring Network to assist and support female officials.  Our Officials Mentoring Network is open to both Mentees and Mentors from all genres of motorsport Australia wide. Please follow the below link if you would like to be part of our Officials Mentoring Network.
